A video has been released by the Michigan Department of Transportation explaining its I-94 project. The $153 million project is expected to conclude in 2024. Major construction work will begin in 2023 and prep work is underway now. The project will mean the reconstruction of several ramps and bridges.

MDOT is planning the project to rebuild I-94 from west of the I-94 Business Loop to Britain Avenue, a six-lane section of freeway with an annual average daily traffic volume of 63,000 vehicles. In addition to rebuilding this section of I-94, work also includes replacing four bridges, and improving seven additional bridges. It’s seeking public comments on the project. You can fill out an online form to offer comments, or send an email to MonsmaM@Michigan.gov.
