Rickey Joe Bonds, Jr., 47, of St. Joseph, passed away, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Corey Kugle officiating.  Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville.  Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. Rick was born October 16, 1973 in Benton Harbor to Rickey Sr. & Sharon (Kaiser) Bonds.  He graduated from Lakeshore High School, Class of 1993.  On March 20, 2004 he married the former Chanan Allee in Buchanan.  Rick was employed for the last thirty years at Dura Mold in Bridgman, currently as a mold maker.  He excelled at his job & took pride in his work.  He was very talented at repairs, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.  In his free time Rick enjoyed camping, riding four-wheelers, hunting, golfing, bowling and axe throwing.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rick is survived by his wife Chanan; two daughters-Baylee & Katelyn Bonds; his father Rick Sr. of Coloma; his mother and step-father Sharon (Ronn) Ballard of Stevensville; two sisters-Jamie Eyerly of Stevensville, Kimberly Ballard of Benton Harbor; his father-in-law & mother-in-law Craig & Carla Allee of Stevensville; brothers-in-law-Chad (Denise) Allee of Milan, MI, Cody (Tristan) Allee of New Buffalo; numerous nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins; two special friends-Frank Bock & Noe Najera; and his friends from the Spare Tire Camping Group.  He was preceded in death by his step-mother-Deborah Duff.
