New COVID-19 Cases At 5,530 For Saturday

Michigan’s new COVID-19 case numbers are down slightly for Saturday. The Department of Health and Human Services reports 5,530 positive tests, roughly 800 fewer than Friday. That brings the total to 785,307 with 16,840 people dying. 69 deaths were recorded Saturday, with 60 being from vital records reviews. For southwest Michigan, Berrien County had 65 new cases for a total of 12,662 and 240 deaths. Cass County had 15 new cases for 4,391 and 67 deaths. Van Buren County cases were up by 8 at 5,920 with 94 deaths.
