Melody Ann Stroebel, 77, of Grand Junction, passed away November 21, 2020 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born in Grand Rapids on April 22, 1943 to Virgil and Izola (Hunsberger) Morgan. On September 16, 1960 Melody married her husband, John Wesley Stroebel. They shared 60 years of marriage before his passing. Melody worked for S.E. Overton Company for fourteen years. She was a member of the Grand Junction Congregational Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Stroebel; parents and sons – Michael Stroebel, John Stroebel II, and Ronald Stroebel.
Melody is survived by her children – Terry Morgan and Sherri (Matt) Wojtas both of Grand Junction. siblings – Cathy Wolford, Larry (Beth) Smith, Gary (Marie) Smith and Sister in law JoAnn Bailey. Also surviving are grandchildren – Amy Brown, Megan Morgan, Matt Brown, Charles Wojtas and Mara Wojtas; and great grandchildren – Evelynn, Tyler and Noelle.
Graveside services for Melody and John will be Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Grand Junction Cemetery in Grand Junction, Michigan with Pastor Todd VanGrouw officiating.
