Jeanette Skinner, 87, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Paw Paw, MI. She was born on July 4, 1933 in Decatur, MI, the daughter of Milton Lloyd and Marguerite Mary (Maguire) Dow.

Jeanette attended Decatur Bible Church and supported the Awana Program. She took it upon herself to make sure that all children and adults who needed a ride to church got a ride; even if that meant she made more than two trips to and from every Sunday. Jeanette enjoyed swimming and she could swim all the way across the lake and back with no problem. Affectionately known as Ma Skinner by too many to count, she was a riot and had a knack for making any activity into something fun for the kids. An eventful trip to the roller rink, a day at the lake, a day of “busy” work, it never mattered what was on the agenda because it was sure to be a good time for all. Everyone who came over was treated as family and fed like family; but with family love, she also expected them to put in work like family.

She is survived by daughters, Mary Black, and Laura (David) De Roo; son, William “Mark” (Cheryl) Skinner; grandchildren, Chad Payne, Angella (Danny) Jenkinsen, Charity De Roo, Chastity De Roo, Patience De Roo, Brandon Skinner, Brianna Skinner; great-grandchildren, Damon, Logan, Terrance, Gabriel, Billy, Boaz, Hudson, Samuel, and Ezra; brother, Wally (Joan) Dow, sister-in-law, Marilyn Dow, and brother-in-law, Martin (Joyce) Stevens. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, William C. Skinner; Grandchildren, Aaron Payne and Gabriel De Roo; sisters, Ann Lyle, Evelyn Block, Jean Stevens, and a brother, Lloyd Dow.

Friends and family will be received at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 11:00am until time of service begins at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in the Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
