COVID-19 Cases In Michigan Rise To 17,221

Michigan’s COVID-19 cases are up by just over 15-hundred from Sunday, standing at 17,221 with 727 deaths. The number of deaths has risen by 110 in the last day. Locally, there are 11 new cases in southwest Michigan and no new deaths. Berrien County continues to have the most with 60, up by 2. That’s followed by 58 in Kalamazoo County, a rise of 5 since Sunday. Van Buren County has 16 cases, up two from Sunday, while Allegan County is up one to 15, St. Joseph County is up one to 11 and Cass County is unchanged at 7. Three people have died in Kalamazoo County, and there has been one death each in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties to date.
