Richard L. Wine, 75, of Coloma, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevenville.

Due to the current circumstances, no local services are planned at this time. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be made to the Hanson Hospice Center and mailed or dropped off at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home, 6548 Paw Paw Avenue, Coloma, MI  49085.

Richard was born on June 7, 1944 in Kankakee, Illinois to Ivan and Verna Wine. He worked in the banking industry for 40 years. During that time Richard earned both his Brokers License and his Appraisers License. At the time of his retirement in 2007 he was a Vice-President of Citizens National Bank in Cheboygan, Michigan. He and his wife Merye, who were married in 1982, moved to Coloma three years later in 2010.

Richard loved sports. In his youth, he played football, baseball, basketball and ran on the track team. He was an avid University of Michigan fan and followed all their sports teams. He was also a music lover having been in a drum and bugle core and later played both the piano and organ in a dance band. Richard had many talents and once took second place in a Chicago talent show.

Richard was loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Merye; his son Dennis (Nicole) Wine of Rhode Island; his daughters, Misty Wine of Illinois, Sandra Arent and Jennifer Arent, all of St. Joseph; brother Larry (Glenda) Wine of Connecticut; sister Vicky Wine of Nevada; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Tucker.
