The date is set for a joint meeting of the Benton Harbor and St. Joseph city commissions along with the St. Joseph Township board to discuss the formation of the work group on the Twin Cities Harbor Revitalization project. All three municipalities have signed on, with the St. Joseph City Commission doing so this past Monday.
The meeting will be next Wednesday, January 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mendel Center on the campus of Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor. The three have identified a need for a joint, multi-jurisdictional entity to address issues of common interest regarding development of the St. Joseph River harbor.
