MSU Survey Finds Strong Job Prospects For College Grads

A new report shows that the job market for recent college grads continues to be strong. The results come from the annual study done by the Michigan State University’s Collegiate Employment Research Institute. Phil Gardner is the survey author and director.

“We haven’t experienced anything like this before,” says Gardner about the strength of the job market over the past decade. “I keep telling people I’ve never seen one where we’ve seen a ten-year run without a correction in the economy. We’re in a new area, so I’m just taking it a year at a time now because I’m not sure what’s going to happen.”

This year’s report found companies plan to hire about 63,000 new graduates, with most of those hired having bachelor’s and associate’s degrees.
