A three-year-old girl is dead after drowning in Van Buren County on Wednesday. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were sent to a home in the 39,000 block of Paw Paw Road in Paw Paw Township on a report of a possible pool drowning just before 12:40 p.m. They arrived to find the three-year-old girl unresponsive. Deputies tried life-saving measures, but they were not successful, and the girl was pronounced dead at Bronson Lakeview Hospital. Police say the drowning is not considered suspicious, and the investigation continues.
