Mignon Gaye Heppler

Mignon G. Heppler, 88, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St Joseph.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at Starks & Menchinger Chapel for the family. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in St Joseph. Mignon was born November 8, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to Joseph and Helen (Schnabel) Karnick. She married Gerald Heppler in June 1954. She worked for the family business, Southwest Transport Company for 10 years after raising her family. She loved nature, animals and spending time with her kids and family. She was known for her selfless love and kind nature. Mom, now you are able to, “Sing and Dance, Prince and Prance” all the way to Heaven!

Mignon is survived by her husband of 65 years Gerald Heppler of St. Joseph; children; Scott G. Heppler of Hartford, Brian K. Heppler of Benton Harbor, Leigh McAnany of Benton Harbor. Grandchildren; Kasi K. Heppler and Mazi M. Heppler. Brother Arnold Karnik of St Joseph and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Karnik and Helen Schnabel.
