Jeanne M. Sandmann, 61, of Buchanan, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at her home surrounded by family.

Jeanne was born September 26, 1957, in Marlette, Michigan to William & Shirley (Marion) Stempel. She graduated from Marlette High School in 1975. Then received her nursing degree from Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1979. On January 16, 1982 she married Danny C. Sandmann, in Brown City, MI at Fellowship Bible Church. For the last 15 years she has been a member at Christ Lutheran Church in Stevensville, MI. Jeanne was a dedicated nurse working for many years in Cardiac Care practices, and for the past 9 years she worked as an Epic Analyst for Lakeland Hospital. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to sew, knit, and quilt, making heirloom dresses and knitting hats for babies for the American Heart Association.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 37 years, Danny Sandmann; daughters; Abigail Sandmann of Great Bend, KS, Deanna Sandmann of Williamsburg, NY, Cara Sandmann of Buchanan, MI: mom Shirley Stempel of Marlette, MI, her brother Dale (Irene) Stempel of Marlette, MI, sister-in-law Bonnie Stempel and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father William and her brother Karl Stempel.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Avenue, Stevensville, with Pastor Martin Measel officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St Joseph.
