Sallie Mae London 72 formerly of Benton Harbor, MI, transitioned on May 5, 2019, surrounded by her family in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sallie was born on March 25, 1947, in Swan Lake Mississippi, to the union of Elijah and Azzie London.
She retired from Action Garment Rentals in 2001. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, reading her bible and praying.
She leaves to cherish her memories 8 children Charles (Carla) London, Tyron (LeAnna) London, David London, Willie (Wendy) London, Wanetta London, Wanda London, LaDonna (Freddie) Deal, and Evie Duncan. 2 un-biological sons Adonis Taylor Sr. and Corlos Powell. And she also leaves to her memories 4 sisters LuSandia Hubbard, Dorothy Jordan, Sherry London, and Bertha Griffin. 34 Grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones
She was preceded in death by her parents Elijah and Azzie London, 1 son Frank London, 5 brothers R.B London, A. B London, William McCoy, Vernon London, and James London. 1 sister Virgie Swopshire, 1 best friend Vivian (Lil’ Momma) Smith. 2 nephews Elijah London, and Eddie Hubbard.
