Services celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 10, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 10 AM on Friday at the Fairplain Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Yaeger Humane Society or the Lakeshore Christian Church. LC was born on Sept 1, 1932 in Boydsville, AR to Redic and Floy Maynard. He married his wife, Colleen Piner, in 1948 and she preceded him in death in 2008. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. LC started working for Whirlpool in 1949 and was employed by them for 24 years. Along with Whirlpool he also did printing out of his home. LC also started Maycom Communications in 1970 which he operated for 35 years until he retired in 2005. He was a classic car enthusiast and traveled to many of the area car shows. LC greatest love was his love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His family includes his children, Gary (Judy) Maynard of St. Joseph and Sue (Bill) Brooks of Stevensville; his 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, Cori, and Lucas; his 6 great grandchildren, Tyler, Sadie, Marcus, Jared, Sam and Austin; his 2 great great grandchildren, Cleo and Layton; and his longtime friend, Ethel Daggett of Stevensville. He was also preceded in death by his brother, JC, and his sister, Shirley French.
