Lois Elnor Fox, 94, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 10, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph.

Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. Lois was born December 29, 1924 in St. Joseph, Michigan to William Carl Nitz and Blondena (Orlaske) Nitz. Lois was employed by Whirlpool Corporation as a secretary for 32 years and as Executive Secretary to Elisha Gray III for some of those years. Lois was also very involved in Voluntary Service as a former volunteer at Watervliet Community Hospital, Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid.

On June 23, 1991 she married Milton Fox who has preceded her in death in December 2014. Lois was also preceded in death by her parents, first husband Richard Rudduck, and brother William L. Nitz.

Lois was a loving, caring person who always went out of her way to help family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends that she has touched over the years.

Lois is survived by her extended family that loved her dearly and touched all of their hearts Nephew, William J. (Bonnie) Nitz of Baroda, Michigan; Nieces, Judy (Nitz) and Ken Williams of Tennessee; Paulette (Pixie) Nitz of Coloma, Michigan; Great-nephew William C. Nitz; Great-nieces Melissa (Nitz) and Michael Lambert, LaSondra (Nitz) and Thomas Noe, Megan (Nitz) and Dayton Devoir, Robin Bowers; Great-Nephews Zac Nitz, Gunnar Nitz, Konrad Nitz, Alex Noe, Keegan Battisti; Great-nieces Josie Noe and Ashley (Jake) McGraw-Korthals; also, very special childhood and best friend of over 80 years Lillian Wendt, and special neighbors Phil & Cathy Manni.

A special “Thank You” to the Hanson Hospice House for the wonderful care and compassion given to our loved one Lois. We all love you Loie!
