William “Bill” Grover, 76, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware, Benton Harbor with Fr. Ben Huynh officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 11, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Bill was born December 16, 1942 in Niles, MI to William and Betty (Cauffman) Grover. He graduated from Niles High School in 1961. Bill married Marcia Gondeck at Saint Mary’s of Immaculate Conception Parish, in Niles on August 4, 1972. Bill led a life of service to church, family, and community. He filled many roles in parish leadership wherever he lived, was a long-time member of and leader in the Knights of Columbus, and was a beloved coach and mentor to many.

Bill is survived by his wife Marcia Grover; children; Carol (Gene) Atkins, Ginger (Damien) Carboneau, John Grover (Juanita Lopez), William (Amy) Grover, Claire (Roger) Nehring, Matt (Traci) Grover and Kevin Grover; grandchildren; Jason Compton, Camerin (Thomas) Burnworth, Andrew (Amanda) Carboneau, Corinne Carboneau, Luke Carboneau, Paul Carboneau, Alena Carboneau, Tony Grover, Dani Grover, Zach Grover, Lupe Grover, Sofi Grover, Joseph (Jackie) Grover, Megan Grover, Nathan Grover, Madison Grover, Natalie Grover and Matthew Grover; Great Grandchildren; Isaac Burnworth, Jude Burnworth, Samuel Carboneau, Arya Grover, Aurora Grover and Divina Russel; and sister Retta Jo VanDriessche.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jacob Tomas Grover and his brother in law Jerry VanDriessche.
