Annie Marie Woods, 79, of Berrien Springs, passed away on February 9, 2019 at Lakeland Hospital of Niles.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in New Troy Cemetery. Memorial donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Marie was born October 14, 1939 in Patterson, Arkansas to Freda and Annie (Ward) Brinkley. Marie enjoyed watching her Court TV, looking at pictures of her family, swimming and dancing. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest joys.
Marie is survived by her children Michael (Suzi) Woods of Dowagiac, Barbara (Glenn) Fox of Berrien Springs, and Jamie (Diedre) Woods of Bridgman and three brothers Fred Brinkley of Alton, Missouri, Caroll “Sunny” (Audrey) Brinkley of Benton Harbor and Tom (Thelma) Brinkley of Salem, Arkansas. Also surviving are her grandchildren Michael Woods, April Lugo, Scott Woods, Stepfanie (Drew) McLaughlin, Katie Woods and Jamie Jr. Woods; great grandchildren Jazmine Banner, Duane McLaughlin, Aiden Woods, Drake McLaughlin, Asia Lugo, Noah Woods and Bentley Woods and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Homer, sister Josephine Palmer and brothers Arlie, Sim and Leo Brinkley.
