William McKinley Carr

William McKinley Carr, age 91, of White Pigeon, affectionately known as “Uncle Bill,” died peacefully Wednesday evening, January 2, 2019 in Heartland Health Care in Three Rivers.

He was born March 17, 1927 in Ashley, Ohio, the oldest of five children of Garry and Edna Carr.

William served honorably in the Navy during World War II.

“Uncle Bill” will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his one brother, Thomas  Carr of Arizona; one sister, Candace Edson of Michigan City, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Carr; and a brother Robert, Carr.

Family and friends will for a Graveside service in Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers on a date and at a time to be announced, when he will be laid to rest with Military Honors.

The family prefers contributions in Williams’s memory be made to Cass County Animal Shelter, 323 M-62, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
