Marilyn Jennette Roth, 90 of Bridgman passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
at her daughters home in the care of family.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 7, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church,  9650 N. Church, Bridgman, with Reverend Edward A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 2 – 4 PM Sunday, January 6 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgman Public Library, 4460 Lake Street, Bridgman MI 49106.  Send flowers to the family and online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Marilyn was born January 28, 1928 in Bridgman, a life long resident, the daughter of the late Harold and Rose (Essig) Miller. On August 12, 1950 she married Robert Mayo Roth and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2010. Marilyn will always be remembered as Bridgman’s first librarian, a champion for reading literacy. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a Brownie and Girl Scout leader.  Marilyn was an avid bridge player and called ‘grandma’ by many.

Survivors include daughters: Catherine (David) Smith, Lizabeth (Glenn) Horak and Carla (Douglas) Norwood and  Bonnie (David) Bischoff; a son: Mayo (Elizabeth) Roth;  14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Marilyn was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Smith and a sister, Marcella Kenney.
