Arthur Lee Ferguson 71 formerly of Benton Harbor transitioned on December 20, 2018, at home in South Bend IN surrounded by family. Legacy farewell service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Greater Grace Church, 660 Nickerson Dr., Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with visitation starting at 11:00 am followed by service at 12:00 am.
Arthur Ferguson was born on January 10th, 1947 in Mound Bayou to the late Arthur Abe Ferguson & Vergie Mae Barns. Arthur accepted Christ in 1990, He was baptized by Elder Dewberry.
Arthur was an awesome father, a hardworking man! He Retired after 15yrs of working at Hilltop He was a deacon at Greater Grace Temple. He always made sure he had candy for all his grandchildren! He always knew the answer to everything.
He met his wife (Connie Ferguson) in 1973 they married in 1980! Been together a total of 45 yrs.
Arthur is survived by his wife Connie Ferguson of South Bend IN. Siblings James Arthur Richardson of Florida, Willie Ferguson (Lilly) of Michigan, Lawrence Ferguson (Kim) of Illinois, Ivory Barnes (Christine) California, Tommie Joe Ferguson of Illinois, Willie C Ferguson of Illinois, Doris Taylor of Mississippi, Deloris Collins (Earl) of Illinois, Vera Edwards of Michigan and his children. Arthur Griham of Mississippi, Lisa Ferguson of Georgia, Denise Mingo of Georgia, Jockyn Ferguson of Georgia, Pamela Jones of Michigan, Marie Jones of Indiana, Willie Jones (Eunisha) of Michigan AND HIS BABYGIRL Linda Ferguson-Ellis (Markius) of Indiana
Arthur has 33 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren. He has a special/Favorite Great Grandchild (Kingston Aka “His Chucky”)
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Abe Ferguson, Vergie Mae Barns-James! His Great Grandmother Wyona Barnes. Siblings Robert Lee Ferguson & Calvin Ferguson, Grandchildren Jacoy Jones, and Shanae Robinson!
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
