Gail Marie Barnett

Gail Marie Barnett, age 70 years of Niles, Michigan died peacefully at 9:48 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan following an extended illness.

She was born on September 21, 1948 in Niles to Cloyd Harold and Lillian Edith (Mangold) Tribbett. She was graduated from Niles High School, and has lived in Niles and Buchanan, Michigan most of her life. She was employed for many years at the former Niles plant of Simplicity Pattern Company, and for a few years in the cafeteria at Lakeland Hospital in Niles.

Gail enjoyed the peace and comfort of her home, and had shared her home with relatives who needed her caregiving for temporary special needs. She was an avid reader, usually reading mysteries.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Barnett, Jr. on March 2, 1999; by her parents, Cloyd Tribbett and Lillian Henry, and by a brother, Ronnie Tribbett.

Surviving family includes her children, Bonnie Temple of Niles and Brad Barnett, also of Niles; grandchildren Derek Altwine, Kendall Barnett, Devin Temple, and Kayleah Temple; great-granddaughter Maddy; and Gail’s sister, Bonnie Rausch; sister-in-law, Pam (Mrs. Ron) Tribbett; and nieces and nephews.
