Joan (Joni) Marie Giannetti nee Prisco age 58, of Watervliet, MI, formerly of Chicago Heights, IL, passed away peacefully December 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Joni was a loving wife and homemaker, married for 30 years to her husband Glen. Devoted mother of Mia (Rick) Pantaleo, Gabriella (Tyler) Augustine, Olivia Giannetti and blessed “Glamma” of Dominic Donald Pantaleo. Daughter of the late Judith nee Smith and the late Donald “Ducker” Prisco and best friend and sister of Thomas Prisco. She was a beloved niece, cousin and dear friend of many. She graduated from Marian Catholic High School in 1978 and Western Illinois University in 1982.
Joni was a woman of great spirit and faith who enjoyed cooking, entertaining and caring for those around her. She was a strong woman with a vibrant personality, great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. Her favorite times were spent with cherished family, friends and dogs.
A memorial visitation will be held at Infant Jesus of Prague Parish, 1131 Douglas Ave., Flossmoor, IL on Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 AM, followed by mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Joni’s name to support colon cancer research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, 420 E.
