Jerry Paul Beck, age 73, of Lawrence, passed away December 4, 2018. He was born September 2, 1945 in Camilla, Georgia, to the late John and Sallie (Stevens) Beck. He is survived by his three children, Yvonne (Randy) Hoekstra, Sharon Hagens and Amy (Bruce Jr.) Smith, seven grandchildren, Jesse (Randall Berkeley) Beck, Chantel (Paul) Reyna, Megan Gulledge, Andrew Hoekstra, Morgan Smith, Macey Smith, Mason Smith, five great grandchildren, Alyssa Wells, Mackenzie Hoekstra, Brayden Reyna, Emma Beck and Brooklynn Hoekstra. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Frances Anne Beck in 2016, his four brothers, Johnny, Jack, Preston and Raymond and his sister Frances.
Jerry retired after many years working as a union brick mason, he was a lifetime member of the Van Buren Sportsman’s Club and an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved playing cards, pool, gambling along with watching NASCAR. Above all, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home 502, West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Adam Potgiesser officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the Paw Paw Eagles.
