7:00 at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Services, 1053 E. Napier Ave in Benton Harbor.

Sharon was born in Benton Harbor, April 20, 1945 to Burton and Vera (Hidy) Brightup. Sharon
graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1963. She worked as a proof reader for Netedu
advertising agency for most of her working life. Her passions included flower gardening and had
a very elaborate garden in her back yard that included a pond. It was a showplace. She was also
an avid photographer. Additionally she was involved with animal welfare including dogs,
especially Shelties.
Sharon is survived by her mother, Vera Louise (Hidy) Brightup, sisters Jeane (John) Schaeffer of
St. Joseph and Robyne Brightup; nephews Jon (Dawn) Schaeffer, Jason Schaeffer, Quinn Burton
and niece Anna (Josh) Turnipseed and her beloved sheltie Danny. She was preceded in death by
her father.
