The annual Festival of Families held by Berrien RESA is coming up this weekend. RESA’s Karen Heath tells WSJM News the Festival of Families is an all-ages chance for everyone to have some fun and learn about local education and recreational opportunities.
“In addition to providing information about community activities as well as community athletic leagues and youth type groups, there is educational information not only for young children but those who are transitioning all the way through college,” Heath said.
Heath tells us new this year is a 5K run and walk and a wide variety of food trucks. The sixth annual Festival of Families is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds. The 5K run and walk will be at 8:30 a.m. The first 500 kids to show up at the festival will get a free lunch, and RESA is also making transportation to the festival available.
