Dennis Sanicki, 71, passed away on Sept. 14, 2018 in his home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Dennis was born on October 12, 1946 in Chicago, IL to the late George and Helen (Markowski) Sanicki. A graduate of Holy Trinity High School he began his career employment with Zenith Corporation in Chicago. On October 29, 1966 he married Pamela Baser in Homewood, IL, together celebrating 50 years of married life in 2017. Shortly after marriage they moved to Kerlikowske Road (Hagar Township), built a home, with Dennis taking a job with Whirlpool Corporation until his retirement. Dennis had many interests in life: an avid fisherman, accordion player who could polka with the best of them, outdoor grilling, family gatherings especially the 4th of July holiday, and his special dogs. Dennis will be missed by family and friends; he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Dennis is survived by his wife Pam; son Christopher (Christi); daughter Becca (Augie) Bookout; grandchildren – Taylor, Travis, Cameron, and Audra; great grandchildren – Kinsley and Klaire; and brother – Jim of Chicago. Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Sonny and sister May.
