POW Presentation At Local Museum

The North Berrien History Museum is hosting a program called The German POW Experience in Michigan tomorrow. The program will feature Dr. Howard Poole speaking about the 400,000 German prisoners of war being placed in 32 camps in Michigan, including Coloma, Benton Harbor and Hartford. Dr.Poole will shed light on the experiences of the captured men like, their transportation from Europe to Michigan and back after the war. Some of the former POW’s chose to come back to the United States to live. The program will be held at the North Berrien History Museum on the evening of Tuesday, May 15th, free to the public at 7 p.m. The museum’s website can be viewed at NorthBerrienHistory.org.
