Two people are recovering after their motorcycle was struck by a car in Cass County Sunday night. The sheriff’s department says it happened on M-152 west of M-51 in Silver Creek Township shortly after 7 p.m. 30-year-old Charles Hammond, of Dowagiac, was westbound on M-152 when his motorcycle was struck by a car driven by 40-year old Stephanie Pinkowski, of Hartford. Pinkowski was turning into Lutz’s Drive-In restaurant. Hammond and his passenger, 24-year-old Kaylea Davis, were taken to hospitals, Hammond by helicopter. Police say both were wearing helmets, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. It remains under investigation.
