Michigan’s Gas Prices Rise For 4th Straight Week

AAA Michigan says gas prices statewide have risen by about 9¢ a gallon in the past week. The Dearborn-based auto club says the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.60 per gallon. That’s about 12¢ less than it was at the same point last year. This is the fourth consecutive week that the statewide price has increased. The lowest average price was about $2.45 per gallon in the Marquette area, while the highest average was about $2.64 per gallon in the Saginaw, Bay City and Midland areas.

Prices in the St. Joseph and Benton Harbor area is the same as the state average at $2.60. Our average price is up 14¢ since Memorial Day. AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel prices at 2,800 gas stations across the state.
