Next Saturday will bring the 2nd Annual Step into Summer 5K Trail Run and Kids Dash in South Haven. The event will be held at Van Buren State Park, and will raise money for Maple Grove Elementary. Race Director Stacy Maxwell says the run is different from most in that it’s all on scenic trails.
“It’s a unique course,” Maxwwell told WSJM. “Most course are road races. They are not on trails. I think you get four different views of Lake Michigan as you’re running across the top of the sand dunes, and then back out, and then you also get to run for a half mile along the beach.”
