Senior And Veterans Expo Set For This Month

Seniors and veterans are invited to an expo to be held in Mattawan this month. State Representative Aric Nesbitt is among the lawmakers who will be on hand for the 11th annual event. He says the goal of the day is to connect those seniors and vets with the variety of services available to them. About 100 organizations will be on hand, and there will be some free screenings.

“Bronson-Lakeview Hospital will be on hand to provide free health screenings,” Nesbitt told WSJM. “Blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index, and blood sugar screenings. There will be a free lunch provided.”

The Senior and Veterans Expo is scheduled to be held at the Antwerp Township Activity Center on Front Avenue in Mattawan on Monday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nesbitt says they usually have an attendance of 800 to 1,000 people.
