Third Plea Deal Reached In OD Death Of Taylor Elzey

A plea deal has been reached for a third defendant in the drug overdose death of Taylor Elzey last October. According to the Herald Palladium, 40-year-old Tracy Manning of Hagar Township has entered a guilty plea to attempted concealing the death of an individual. She also pled guilty to using cocaine while out of jail on bond and will be sentenced to a maximum of 90 days in jail on August 31 if she continues to cooperate with investigators. Stevie Viel of Hagar Township reached a deal to plead guilty to concealing the death of a person in April and was sent to prison for at least 23 months in June, and a third defendant, Shannon Barber of Benton Harbor, admitted to helping remove Elzey’s body from a Hagar Township apartment. He was given two years of probation and 90 days in jail.
