Upton: Time For Congress To Review Iran Deal

Congressman Fred Upton says that he wants to see exactly what’s in the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the Obama administration this week before signing off on it. The agreement that supporters say will hinder Iran’s ability to make a nuclear weapon was announced Tuesday. Upton says that it should be up to Congress to decide whether it’s accepted.

Upton wants Congress to get the details of the deal reached this week. It has 60 days to reject the deal, but the president could veto that. It’s meant to curb Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions being eased, but many Republicans are saying that it doesn’t do enough.
