A Benton Township man charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a migrant worker will be spending a long time behind bars. This week, 40 year-old Nathaniel Hamilton was sentenced to between 42 and 80 years in prison for the August death of 31 year-old Felix Palacios. Prosecutors say that Palacios and another man had gone to the Norton Street home of Hamilton on the night of August 26th to have sex with his wife for crack money, but a dispute over payment broke out, and Hamilton stabbed Palacios in the heart. The Herald Palladium also reports that Hamilton has several previous convictions of a violent nature on his record.
