Cuts at the state level are affecting small communities all over Michigan...and that includes Baroda. This week, the village council was told that a reduction of about twelve-thousand dollars in revenue sharing payments for the year will mean more careful budgeting in the coming months. The Herald Palladium reports that Baroda had budgeted for about 80-thousand dollars in state payments, and what the village will actually get will be about four percent less than that. The village clerk said that small cuts have already been made from the general fund to make up for the difference, and at this point, it's not anything that residents should notice.
