Arrests this week in the recent murder of a South Haven man. Police say that the body of 25 year-old Brandon Silverlight was found near a burned-out car in a wooded area of Casco Township, just north of South Haven, the weekend of November 14th. He'd been beaten before his death, and his body had been set on fire. Allegan County Sheriffs Lieutenant Scott Matice tells us that 24 year-old Justin Andrew Terpstra and 23 year old Alison Lane Martin, both of Kalamazoo, have now been arraigned on charges of open murder in Silverlight's death. Matice couldn't say much about the motive of the murder, but WOOD TV reports that Silverlight had filed a personal protection order against Martin about a year ago out of Kalamazoo County. Matice tell us that Martin somehow arranged to meet Silverlight on the day of his death, at which time he was attacked by Terpstra:

The suspects remain in the Allegan County Jail with no bond. A preliminary examination is set for December 16th.
