Swine Flu Vaccine Open To All



Everyone can go and get the swine flu vaccine now. With demand down among high-risk groups, state health officials announced Monday anyone who wants one, should be able to get the H1N1 vaccine by next week. Chief Medical Director Dr. Greg Holzman says getting more people vaccinated will help stop the spread of the virus.

The state has already handed out over 2.6 million doses of the vaccine. It has another 2.1 million doses on order. The vaccine is free, but private providers may charge up to $22 for giving out the vaccine. The Berrien County Health Department is hosting three open clinics this week for the public to get vaccinated. But, the Health Department says these won’t be the only community clinics. It's planning more in the coming weeks.

Thursday December 10: Watervliet Saint Joseph Catholic School, 188 Lucinda Lane, Watervliet 3-7pm
