This weekend crowned Miss Saint Joseph 2010. Saint Joseph High School Senior Ashley Dempsey took the crown. Dempsey is the daughter of Jennifer and Steve Vonk. She hopes to go to the University of Michigan and pursue Psychology. She plays volleyball and helps out at the Professional Health Careers Academy. Her court includes 1st Runner-up Lauren Gressley and 2nd Runner-up Morgan Kline. Dempsey will go on and compete in the Miss Blossomtime Pageant on March 15 at Lake Michigan College.
A future geneticist is this year's Miss Buchanan 2010. Rebecca Kastner took the crown Saturday night during the Miss Buchanan 2010 Pageant. She's the daughter of Dennis and Tracy Kastner. She plans to enlist in the Army Reserves after high school and attend Adrian College or Western Michigan University to become a geneticist. Her court includes 1st Runner-up Julia La Bounty and 2nd Runner-up Cassie Ward. Miss Congeniality is Alexis Hanson. Kastner will go on and compete in the Miss Blossomtime Pageant on March 15 at Lake Michigan College.
