World War II Exhibit Planned At Orchards Mall



The History Center at the Courthouse Square is planning a special World War II exhibit at the Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor. Museum Curator Bob Myers says that the mall has donated a store space for a month-long display of items brought back by Berrien County soldiers who fought in World War II.

He also hopes to raise awareness about the value of preserving such artifacts:

The exhibit opens on December first, and runs through January seventh. It's free, so anyone could walk in and learn more about the war from the experiences of locals who were in WWII. Organizers are also looking for volunteers to help staff the exhibit. To find out more, call 471-1202.
