Saint Joseph okayed the plan earlier this week, and Thursday night it was Stevensville's turn. The village finalized its plan to share Saint Joseph Public Services Director Derek Perry. The city is allowing Perry to spend 10 hours a week in Stevensville helping out with administrative duties and other public matters. Stevensville can't afford to hire a full-time city manager right now as it continues to work through its finances. Village President Lori Gibson says the agreement displays the growing partnership between surrounding communities.
Gibson says Perry will start his new part-time position with Stevensville at the end of January. He'll receive about $20,000 a year for his services.
