Andrews Counseling Services and Team Help Prevent Campus Suicides

Last week a New York University Student committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor balcony at the campus library. News of the tragic incident raised questions among parents and healthcare providers about how mental health is treated on college campuses. A University of Texas study found most students who commit suicide don't get counseling. And while the International Association of Counseling Services says a college campus should have at least one therapist for every 1,000 to 1,500 students, many can't meet that standard.
