A program designed to get unemployed workers into green construction jobs is coming to Berrien County. Michigan Works! is offering 15 scholarships for a nine-week training program at Lake Michigan College. Michigan Works! Spokesperson Candice Elders says the program will give graduates green construction skills. Elders says participants will also earn an attendance stipend of $10 per hour.
Elders says the program provides training for local job opportunities. If you're interested, you must attend a mandatory two-hour information session at the Berrien County Michigan Works! office. To find out more, go online to m-i works dot com.
