The Economic Club of Southwest Michigan will welcome a former Vice President to Benton Harbor Thursday night. Dick Cheney will speak at Lake Michigan College's Mendel Center. Economic Club Secretary Perry Ballard says he thinks Thursday's meeting will be one of the year's most attended.
Ballard says there's a lot of excitement surrounding the former Vice President's visit. He says he doesn't know what specifically Cheney will talk about. But he says Cheney has never been shy about commenting on current topics, and he expects the former vice president to be just as forthright during Thursday night's speech.
The Club's next visitor is New York Times Columnist Tom Friedman on April 20th. Though Ballard says the club is still trying to bring former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to the area.
