Berrien County Election Results

BENTON HARBOR
Tuesday's election will bring a few changes to Benton Harbor. The city will have two new Commissioners-at-Large. Marcus Muhammad and Duane Seats II will replace Commissioner Ralph Crenshaw who was voted out during the primary and Commissioner Ricky Hill who practically dropped out of the election and threw his support behind the two winners. Voters barely re-elected Commissioner Juanita Henry, who beat Steven McCoy by just four votes. And 55-year-old Dennis Knowles took Commissioner Rahim Abdullah's seat in the 4th Ward with a difference of just four votes.
SAINT JOSEPH
Saint Joseph's Tuesday election decided which incumbent commissioners would fill which seats. Commissioners Mary Goff and Robert Judd will fill the two 4-year term positions after receiving the most votes. And, Fran Chickering will take the 2-year term. All three candidates ran unopposed.
BRIDGMAN
Bridgman voters chose four new city council members. Hannah Anderson took the most votes with just over 400, followed by Robert Liskey, Ron Birmingham and Jim Catania. Bridgman also named two unopposed library directors, Randy Clerk and Barbara Hall.

Bridgman voters also supported the Bridgman Public Schools Bond proposal this time around. It's the same bond proposal that failed by just two votes in February. The bond will allow the district to borrow $22 million of general obligation tax bonds to pay for building and facility renovations in the district.
COLOMA
No surprises in Coloma. The city's commissioners ran unopposed for re-election. Voters re-elected Clerk Martha Darling, Treasurer Cathy Megna, and Commissioners Harold Bragg, Linda Freitag and Marsha Hammond all secured another 4-year term. Coloma Township resident Mike Muenchow will fill the one two-year term.
WATERVLIET
The results are in and Watervliet will have three brand new city commissioners. Melanie Marvis, Pamela Loyd and Richard Wicks were the top three vote getters, beating out incumbents Duane Cobb and Robert Becker. Becker lost the third seat to Wicks by just 3 votes. Kevin Beckman took the 2-year term City Commission seat unopposed. Watervliet voters also approved the city's 2 mill fire renewal and 3 mill police renewal proposals.
NILES
Niles voters also re-elected unopposed candidates. Council members Patricia Gallagher, Robert Durm, William Weimer and William Skalla will fill their same ward seats again for another four years.
GALIEN TOWNSHIP
Galien Township voters okayed a 1 mill renewal for road maintenance and improvement with a 35-6 voted Tuesday. Voters also approved the township's 6-year .5 mill levy 36-4 to pay for fire and ambulance equipment and expenses.
