Red Cross Plans Several SWM Blood Drives In November



As the winter season approaches, the American Red Cross is encouraging everyone to donate blood so that Michigan hospitals can keep fully stocked with what they need to help patients. Great Lakes Regional Communications Manager Monika Stoneking says that this is the time of year when the Red Cross really steps up its donation efforts:

Stoneking says that there are several blood drives planned for Southwest Michigan this month, and it's for a reason:

She says that donations collected this month can make a big difference:

Stoneking adds that the drives are run by skilled and trained staff, and it's worth everyone's while to take the 45 minutes or so needed to donate blood:

To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in generally good health. Now here's a lost of local blood drives:
