Members of the Saint Joseph City Commission this week heard from representatives of Stevensville about a plan to hire Saint Joe Public Services Director Derek Perry as their part-time village manager. Last week, Stevensville trustees said that having Perry come by a few times a week to handle administrative duties at the village would be a cost-effective way of getting their community back on track. A committee of two Saint Joe commissioners will work with Stevensville to set up a plan acceptable to both parties, and come back with a report at the commission's next meeting.
