A Mattawan man making some home repairs has been killed after he fell off a ladder sometime wednesday afternoon. Investigators say it appears that 40 year old Derrick Williams fell about 20 feet and suffered fatal head injuries. He was apparently fixing his roof. A neighbor discovered his body in the yard of his home in the 25-thousand block of M-43 and called 9-1-1 about 9:10 Wednesday evening. By then he was already dead.
