Berrien Springs Police Chief Appointed To Federal Anti-Gun Crimes Panel




Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Chief Milt Agay has been appointed to a federal panel that fights gun crimes. Agay tells us that as a member of Project Safe Neighborhood's task force, he'll help guide policy in several ways:

Agay says that he was invited to join the task force because of his experience in combating the illegal gun trade:

Agay also serves on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, and the Associations Legislative Committee and Environmental Crimes Committee. The PSN task force usually includes both federal and local prosecutors...federal, local and state law enforcement agencies...and probation and parole officials. Members can make recommendations on how certain funds are distributed, and also help to connect different levels of law enforcement. Agay says it's an honor to join the panel.
