Andrews University in Berrien Springs has a record number of students this year. Vice President of Enrollment Management Stephen Payne says that increasing enrollment has been a trend at the Seventh Day Adventist school for some time:
Payne says that there are a couple reasons why enrollment's been going up. First, there are more freshman seeking an education that meets the needs of their faith, and second, it's easier for undergraduates to study at Andrews:
He says Andrews has been able to meet the new demand with only a few challenges:
This year, Andrews has just under 36-hundred students.
