There won’t be a new RV Park in Baroda Township after all. Kennedy Reese Investments informed Baroda Township officials last week the company isn't happy with recent action by the Township Planning Commission. Township Supervisor Tim Brow says the commission is requiring the park to comply with 50 to 100 foot setbacks instead of the standard 35-foot rule for agricultural district homes. Brow says the decision eliminated about 22 acres of property and made the project financially impossible for Kennedy Reese.
Brow says he's disappointed by the commission's decision.
But he says the township took steps Monday night to maintain the ordinances 35-foot standard setback for agricultural district homes.
Kennedy Reese was trying to buy the Meadows Family Golf Center on Shawnee Road, but needed a special use permit to go forward with the project.
